Sand Volleyball: This is our third year in a row that we have implemented the game of sand volleyball. This game has been growing so much, and it gives another perspective in the game of volleyball. Sand volleyball helps our players develop some speed and more ball control, which are two skills that are very important for indoor volleyball. In the past, we have grown so much that we have had several players interested in also playing some sand volleyball tournaments, so this year we have decided to split the sand volleyball sign-ups into two groups: Elite Group and Beginner’s Group. All practices for both groups will be held at the sand volleyball courts at Wesselman’s Park (602-560 N Boeke Rd), and they will be run by our very own, Coach Lala (Coach Tony’s daughter). Coach Lala has been involved in the sport of sand volleyball and has been a main piece of our success in sand volleyball, as we have several local players looking for sand volleyball scholarships. The main difference between both groups is that the Beginner’s Group will be focused only on practicing the sessions provided at Wesselman’s Park, while the Elite Group will include three tournaments (all at Hyden Beach Volleyball in Nashville, TN). In addition, we are bringing John Hyden (2-time Olympian for USA Volleyball), on June 10 for a clinic that he will be providing. This is a big opportunity to learn from one of the best. You can sign up and look at more information about our sand volleyball program on our website: Evansville United Sand Volleyball Program
You will find the option for the Beginner’s Group and Elite Group, as well as the option for the John Hyden Volleyball Clinic. (You may sign up for our program which will include the clinic, or you can sign up for just the clinic).
